Release 0.48.0 - Consequences

Updates in this Iteration

Unconsciousness

Persons can now lose consciousness, when the air is getting too bad. This means, they cannot do anything anymore. The sleep need will stop, but all other needs like nutrition are going on, so the persons will die soon in this state.

High Humidity consequence

After some research, i found, that above 70% humidity in the ISS, microorganisms will grow way more, making the crew sick and damaging the systems. I just added the damaging part for now, sickness is planned in a later stage. So if the humidity is too high, the damaging of the buildings will be increased.

Trailer and Release Videos

I created a trailer, created directly out of the game, so its using the current Buildings and systems. Its a raw version, that going to be extended in the next iterations step by step.

To do that, i used 100% unity and render in game, so i can update the trailer when something changes easy. I can also do easier update videos, so i started with that again.

N2 Releaser

I added a new building, that can release more n2 to the ship, so the player can expand faster. All features of the lifesupport are now also working at specialized buildings.

Basic Animations

I used a better Person model and added some Animations to it. I'm using 100% ECS, so i couldn't use the original Unity support for it. Its baking multiple clips now to startup time, so it should be very performant.
In this iteration, i added just the basics, to make it work and plan to add a complete Animation Iteration next.

Other smaller changes

  • Persons idle longer. This could kill the performance, when persons changing too often the activity.
  • Random aging for buildings, so they are +-10% different and don't need maintenance at the same time.
  • Very rare PersonStages are not showing always in the UIs header
  • Improved Humidity visualization in Header
